Faith Formation for Adults

Where are you on the journey of faith?
Whether you have been a faithful Catholic or have recently returned to your faith, whether you went to Catholic school or went to “CCD” classes as a child, there is still so much to learn about Catholicism! The spiritual journey is an on-going and life-long chance to grow in the knowledge and love of God. Essentially, all of us need an adult perspective on God and the Church in order to sustain our faith for a lifetime.

Good news!
We now have special pages just for adults who are seeking, asking questions, want to know more about RCIA, or simply want more resources to continue the learning process. We invite you to click on this link and enter into an opportunity for growth: seekingfaith.stedward.com/.

And don't forget...We also have adult Bible Study, A women's group, and quarterly half day retreats:

Servants of the Word Bible Study - the Bible is not just any story; it’s your story.  Discover God’s plan for your life as you discover his amazing story in The Bible Timeline. In this study, you will discover the “big picture” of the biblical story as it is presented in specific books of the Bible. Join us and learn the major people, places, events and themes of the Bible. Perhaps for the first time in your life, you will understand the overview of the Bible story. This then makes your Bible reading and even the Sunday mass readings come alive like never before.

The Bible Timeline study will be offered at St. Edward on two days:
Tuesday mornings, beginning September 18, 2012 in Knight Hall
Wednesday evenings, beginning September 26, 2012 in the lower lunchroom in the Parish School.

Serenity Day is a half-day quiet retreat designed to deepen our relationship with God through directed conferences, reflection time, and prayer. Dates and times are published in the parish calendar.

Women of Wisdom is a group committed to helping women of all ages and backgrounds grow spiritually, emotionally, and relationally. Books that focus on issues that encourage, renew, strengthen, and unify women in their commitment to God, family, church and community are shared. The group meets weekly on Wednesday mornings in Knight Hall is facilitated by Shirley Filadelfia. Please check the Parish Calendar for dates and times.

Are you interested in becoming a Catholic? Do you know someone who is? The formal process toward conversion is beginning again:
